Timmy Hord is an artist...
An impressive multifaceted artist who paints in oils, plays with pastels and most recently with clay. This former professional photographer restores photographs and performs on her bagpipe when she is not painting, throwing clay or teaching.
In 2001 Timmy closed her camera room to turn her focus to painting, but she has expanded her horizons many times. Currently Timmy's passion for clay has brought her much joy in her continuing self education of art with this exciting, multi-variable medium.
"Unlike the exacting fingering of the bagpipe and the dependable characteristics of oil paint, working in clay and decorating with glaze. with its ever-changing look and feel depending on the fire...brings new life to me with anticipation in each kiln opening."__Timmy Hord
Her oil portraits and artworks are in many fine homes and corporate collections in the Southeast. Her original paintings explore energy flow, pathways, tartan/plaid patterns and hearts. Her landscape and still-life paintings bring a peaceful feel to any room.
